Warm Fuzzies

After a long hiatus from blogging, I am back to see if anyone is still out there.

Let me fill you in on what has been happening recently.

December is shaping up to be quite an amazing month already for the Youth and Family here at Northside and we are only on the 9th day!!

Last Wednesday, the teens here started off right with cooking and serving a meal to the family here where the proceeds go to the Youth Loft. By the way, I need to take some new shots of the room to let you know where we are so far and how much hard work Skip, Chad and Jeremy have put into it.

Then on Friday, 200 from the NS family came together in the evening for a Christmas celebration. It was a night full of eating, singing, poetry and fun! I am still on Cloud 9 from all the festivities!!

Saturday, several teens joined in with the Benevolence Ministry here to serve lunch and good cheer to families in need of this and surrounding communities.

Sunday evening, around 40 teens and family members gathered to record a CD of youth songs and even a few bonus Christmas tracks. Not quite there but we're working on it!!

Monday night, the Meat Eaters group decided to take the pizza that we were gonna eat and give it away in Jesus' name and spread good cheer in this great, holiday season. We gave a couple of pizzas to bell ringers at 2 different Wal-Marts, 1 to Salvation Army workers and 1 to some other hard workers. What a great night. It gave me and the teens warm fuzzies to work in God's world.

I have missed your Blogs. Glad you are having such a great December. I just had to tell you that my 20 month old great-great nephew (Caleb Beene) began imitating his Dad's song leading style early on (Matt Beene), but he switched after seeing you at the WWP Workshop in Sept. He now "leads" using both arms, a-la-Jimmie Mitchell. You never know who is watching!!

Hey Jimmy!

My nephew, Caleb Joel, also imitates his dad's (Josh's) song leading style. I wonder if he saw you, he'd use both arms, too!

This has been a great month, indeed!
